11/7/2023 0 Comments Metroid prime remaster metacritic![]() ![]() It's still the best Metroid after Super IMO. I did finish the original 100% back in the day, i only managed 96% now, i guess i don't have the same patience. That's all that needs to be said.Just finished it. This is just a great game made even better and exposed to more people. Even after playing it just a month ago, i still bought it and I'm enjoying it just as much. But in all seriousness, this game is awesome. This is mostly just me ranting at this guy. 1080p should be just fine for most people, and if you really want 4k, just use an Upscaler. Not only that, Emulators are going to stutter (And are also illegal if you don't own the game in the first place). You're talking about a Steam Deck 2, which doesn't even exist. 'Running like crap'? its 60 fps, and the switch isn't as dated as, say, any console before 2010. ![]() The switch is Shoutout to thehoang123 for being the only person with a red scoring. Shoutout to thehoang123 for being the only person with a red scoring. I found the new control scheme with gyro controls enabled to be the best. The game lets you play with the new control scheme, a scheme similar to the Wii's, and the original GameCube control scheme. The remake has different graphics, but otherwise it is very faithful to the original. ![]() You might also want a notepad with you, as the branching paths can be hard to keep track of if you put the game down for a few days at a time. Metroidvanias are not for everyone, but if that is what you are looking for you will find it here! Play this game if you want to feel truly alone in a hostile environment, and slowly but surely become the master of that environment before leaving. probably the only game series to get metroidvanias rights in the 3D space. You might also want a notepad with you, It is indeed Metroid Prime. The only gripes I have regarding the rework itself would be that it's a little too cartoonish for my taste in some areas (like the smoothed-out text font) and that the removal of the traveling light emissions from beam weapons does hurt immersion a little bit compared to the original version. Prime's only real flaw is probably the pointless and tedious collect-a-thon crammed into the end of the game, which is unfortunately still present here. There are plenty of control schemes to choose from in this version, including a modern dual-stick FPS-style layout and the (admittedly clunky) original GameCube layout. The unbeatable atmosphere and attention to detail the original game is known for is only amplified here. This is probably the absolute best-looking game on the Switch so far-it's hard to believe it can run at a consistent 60 frames with the hardware it's on, and even harder to believe such a high-quality rework isn't priced at a full 60 dollars. The unbeatable atmosphere and attention to detail the original game is known for is only A nigh-perfect remaster to a nigh-perfect classic title. Well done Retro Studios! … ExpandĪ nigh-perfect remaster to a nigh-perfect classic title. Retro Studios once more showed that we can trust them in the Metroid Prime Series without a doubt. Shadowdrop, fair and nice price and a game which is not a "HD Port" but a handcrafted masterpeace. Not only did they design entirely new assets, landscapes and models but the price for this game is also a banger. What every magic Retro Studios used shows us that it is possible to put a Game on the Nintendo Switch which feels like plays like butter. Most Games nowadays really struggle in performance or quality on the Nintendo Switch but not Metroid Prime Remastered. ![]() Metroid Prime set the roots for Metroid 3D and was way ahead of its time on the GameCube. ![]()
